chad4bama wrote:Does Kravitz actually have hits? I know maybe 2 songs. Disappointing...but at least he wasn't announced as the opener for my date...July 31 in New Orleans. I'm hoping they bring on someone kick ass after Kravitz's run.
Bammer, let me help you out since you only listen to Sweet Home Alabama, Alabama (the band), and GNR.
semi hits
Always on the Run
American Woman (The Guess Who Cover)
Are You Gonna Go My Way
Believe
SisterOkay off the top of my head I can't think of anymore.
War Eagle.
Haha just messing.
I'd add:
Fly Away
Again
It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over
Can't Get You Off My Mind
I Belong to You

Alice in Chains were competent and actually drew people from the bars to their seats in Vegas but I don't know how they'll fit a stadium audience.
I'd expect something more for such crowds and Kravitz makes sense for that.

Little mind? Keep your insults to yourself or send them through PM.
Show some class, please.

From the interview with kravitz that misterID posted:
i think Slash presented it to the group and it was too funky or maybe two quirky for them but he and I put it together and that riff ended up being a really great blend of rock & roll and funk.

Not a dig, by all means.
Still you talk about "things you've heard".
OK then...
What I did read, what I do read and reality are three different things.
The funny thing is that the plans change prerogative works for everything, specifically GNR related and with no sources to back up things.
I can say that Izzy will play some of the upcoming concerts. Then when it doesn't happen I say plans have changed. It's so easy...

Alice in Chains for some dates and Lenny Kravitz for others.
Confirmed on GNR facebook.
I wonder what happened to "OH MY GOD, THE ONES IN THE KNOW TOLD ME FOO FIGHTERS" and "OH, THE INSIDERS TELL ME IT'S GONNA BE SOMETHING LEGENDARY"...
Well, not that much.

...But you said he was going to be a big part of the song writing process going forward?
When did I say that? At one point there were things in the press that Axl liked some things he sent him, I could have said it in that way, but I never said it like it was a good thing. Don't know where that came from.
Since I have the patience to do it...

I've had no expectations of Ron contributing anything to the band. I still don't understand the mentality of wanting to sit around and wait for everyone to get in the same room. You have Richard and DJ working together, with pictures of DJ working with Mother Goose.
Also, I'd like to know what happened to the end of 2015 album that had nothing to do with former members...
http://www.gnrevolution.com/viewtopic.p … 93#p271093
the new album is on the horizon, possibly the end of the year and has nothing to do, so far, with any former member potentially returning.
Oh, I know the answer... Plans change, obviously.
Also, didn't know Frank is out.
http://www.gnrevolution.com/viewtopic.p … 28#p269828
Frank might be on the way out and Duff might be interested in getting back into the band, and there are concerns about Tommy's drinking. I'm thinking this might lead to Brain coming back into the band. I'm not sure about Ron.
And no, still no chance on a reunion.
misterID while browsing through some old threads I noticed there was a really change on your post style.. Previously it was opinions and speculation like the rest of us, mere mortals. Then, all of a sudden, you started the insider/people in the know/some folks talk and it became quite... disruptive, let it put it that way...
And it seems most of these statements turned out to be... well.. wrong. You better find other sources, my man..

Sources close to the band that shall remain unnamed.

Another in-depth interview:
http://www.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/nme- … nterviewed
How have rehearsals been going?
Angus: “Pretty good!”
Axl: “They’re awesome because they’re over!”
How did that first rehearsal feel?
Angus: “It was good, it was good. That’s where you find out straight away if something’s going to…”
Axl: “How bad somebody sucks.”
Did anybody suck?!
Axl: “I did, but they went, ‘You know what? Come back next week and try again’.”

otto wrote:And also, he isn't doing this for free. There isn't much speculation around, but this tour must earn him close or even more than GN'R tour per show.
No, I seriously doubt that. With GN'R, he is supposedly getting 50% of the band's revenue share while Slash and Duff split the other 50%. No way in hell Angus was giving Brian 50% in the first place and I don't think Axl would demand more from Angus than what they were going to pay Brian. Ticket prices for the GN'R tour are also much higher than AC/DC's current tour, which should mean GN'R is getting a bigger payday per show than AC/DC.
Definitely, by percentage, he is not getting 50% of the revenue. Not even 33%.
What I was pointing to is the DOLLAR amount per show. He has way less costs with ACDC, since he only has to be there and not run all the GNR machine, that is still under his expenses (techs, equipment, instruments loans, etc.)
