Better or Scraped. Then The Blues or This I Love.

#4242 Re: Guns N' Roses » Did you buy Chinese Democracy single on Itunes? » 914 weeks ago

The only point is to show support for the band. We all have this track already and will have the album in two weeks. Only point in buying the single is to help move it up the Itunes charts. I REALLY think they should have offered a b side with this to entice hardcores. If they gave an incentive, it would have sold a few thousand the second it hit Itunes. That would have gave it some added attention and would have propelled it a bit further.

What the band, or company as it appears today, fails to understand is that the hardcore fanbase will buy anything worth collecting. That means something physical or exclusive, like a b-side.

This is just a ripoff far as I'm concerned. They're already giving it away for free by playing it on the radio, so what is the deal here, supporting millionaires? If they're gonna be a company at least do some segment research. Far as the chart thing go, not my cup of tea.

I really don't see the point of buying a digital single.

#4244 Re: Guns N' Roses » On the Eve of Democracy, Where's Axl? » 914 weeks ago

Well, they did promise a 'monstrous campaign'. That is of course an exaggeration, but I doubt what we're seeing now is the end all of Chinese Democracy. There are still over 2 weeks left. I expect an increase in the promotion in a couple of days, and an intensification in the last week.

I think we all never expected Axl to do much promotion personally. Once the album is out he'll probably do a couple of select ones. The band members are neutered to the point of an interview being pointless. Nobody knows who they are either, so it's not something a magazine would have as a priority. There will probably be an increase there too though following the release, as the media gets something substantive to ask them about.

I hear you though Von, but we should give it a bit more time before we call it. This doesn't have to be Pennsylvania. 16

I went to CD.com becuase My GNR and HTGTH were a bunch of uptight, censoring assholes.

Now I come here because CD has become much of the same, IMO.

And I hate to read some mod, who I respect, spewing out details like he's the chosen one.  Fuck You, you're not cool cuz you're showing us that you have something we can't talk about on your damn site.  You double talking jive mother fucker.

Amen.

I was more referring to her continued display of ignorance and lack of experience.

All that other shit is immaterial. A vice president needs to know her shit, and clearly she didn't, and that was the utter failure of the republican campaign. They scored some points with the young, sexy and female factor, but they should've known her lack of ability in pretty much everything apart from that.

I relish in this. Not because it's necessarily all true or because I have something against her, but because airheads like that should be kept far away from the most powerful official position in the world. Do you fancy the prospect of Pamela Anderson being in control of 10.000 nuclear warheads? (putting it on the edge here)

Bullshit. They're just trying to pass the buck for running such a disastrous campaign and losing to an inexperienced clown. Only way I'll believe any of this garbage is if they cough up some actual proof.

Alright, it's not sufficient proof. But would you really be surprised?

You know, 'any' can open a can of worms. 16

I recommend "Tragedy and Hope - A History of the World in our Time" by Carroll Quigley, professor of History at Georgetown and intellectual mentor to Bill Clinton, among many. It gives you an insider, unfiltered (in one sense) account of human development for the last 250 years. Researchers reference the book all the time, not because it has a conspiratorial theme, but because it tells it like it is without the usual bias'.

I know what you're feeling. I'm just attempting to comfort myself.

It is a tragedy.

This I Love seems incomplete. Like Estranged if it didn't have the guitar melodies and the 2nd part.

Ironic. A 15 year old tune sounding incomplete. Axl truly can't do anything as it's supposed to. Always out there, challenging the norm.

Well...there are 13 other solos, so what the heck.
