Alot depends on the members & former members contracts. If BH, Brain & Robin are to get a portion of sales $$, they likely wouldn't go for the free download, since they won't be touring on the post release GnR tour. Now, if they were strictly annual salaried employees paid during studio sessions (maybe that's all they were, hence they bolted/were let go), they wouldn't care as they have no vested interest in album sales.

Apparently this is turned out to be a bit of a hoax. It seems it was a real tribe, just not "unknown", they've been known since 1910. Not sure if they've had human contact before.

Even in an age when cynical sleuths can hyper-analyze stories for truth and accuracy, the occasional hoax still slips through the cracks. Such was the case with a so-called "lost Amazon tribe."
A few months ago, mainstream news outlets (including, ahem, Yahoo!) reported that a photographer had found a lost tribe of warriors near the Brazilian-Peruvian border. Photos of the tribe backed up his claim.
As it turns out, the story is only half true. The men in the photo are members of a tribe, but it certainly ain't "lost." In fact, as the photographer, José Carlos Meirelles, recently explained, authorities have known about this particular tribe since 1910. The photographer and the agency that released the pictures wanted to make it seem like they were members of a lost tribe in order to call attention to the dangers the logging industry may have on the group.
The photographer recently came clean, and news outlets, perhaps embarrassed at having been taken for a ride, have been slow to pick up the story. Now, the word is starting to spread and articles in the Buzz are picking up steam. Expect a lot more brutal truth in the coming days.
#5993 Re: The Garden » NFL 08-09 week by week schedule » 933 weeks ago
Didn't we also have a bet the games straight up contest? each week pick the winners/losers? I like that, even though I did pretty bad. I didn't adapt well, I kept think N.O was good & Cleveland was bad. It was about week 10 I changed my gameplan
That's the good thing about football, the Rams or ATL could be good this year, & Giants or NE could be bad.
Anyway, NFL thread is my fav thread in the fall also, it's the perfect mix of fans, without being over the top, trying to be too hardcore know-it-all fans.

I saw Cloverfield last night, and well.... I'm pretty indifferent to it. Overall the monster/chase scenes were really good. And the movie was better than I was expecting, however it wasn't really that good for all the hype it got. I almost shut it off after two minutes, as it was too much like Blair Witch, the shaky cam was pretty dizzying, and mostly the kids were annoying (not the actors, they were pretty good, but the characters they played). I think that was what really killed this movie, the fact they were some annoying rich kids up in NYC. I just lost alot of sympathy for them (for a movie, I wouldn't had it happened in real life). Why couldn't they have been some average joes, or at least a few of them smoking weed and chilling on the couch. A 24 year old moving to Japan to become VP?? Really?!! Aslo, personal preference I'd rather it took place in another city than NYC, and the Statue of Liberty destroyed signaling the end of the world has also been done to death.
But, like I said, after the first 20 minutes it got really good, once the thing stuck. It was short, but I think myb it had to be, with the lack of script & ad libbing, not sure it would have worked out had it been longer. Maybe it was & they chose to edit it down. The satellitte falling into the ocean was cool. I was on imdb after i saw it & remembered hearing about that & the end credits, I watched it again & the satelitte is pretty obvious if you close to the tv (or myb have an hd). The end credits, I didn't hear so much, thought that was overhyped ("Stay untill after the credits!!") All I really heard was
and barely, at that.

the only way i see himself saving his anything....is to release all 50-60 hours of it....load it up on as many discs as it would fit onto....and send it out onto the market like that....
Close, but here's how I feel it should be done. Release an album with mostly 'the hits'. The 10 or so best songs. Then, release a compilation album with 2-3 discs a few months after, of all the B-sides, demo outtakes, whatever other crap he's got ready to release. That way, album A will sell to the masses, and album B will sell to the fans curious for more at a higher cost ($25-$30 or so, like a cheap box set).
Releasing it online I don't think iwll work because the label wouldn't support it or help to market it, therefore it would receive little attention, few downloads (relatively speaking), and little radio play. NIN & Radiohead have both done this to these results.

He goes, '˜Oh. Great! Everybody! Sebastian has a great idea here, man. Guess what? Sebastian, should I put out a record? Maybe it would be a good idea for me to put out a fucking record! Hey everybody, listen to this! I never thought of that! That never came to me! Oh, great idea dude.'
Funny stuff. At least it shows he's aware of the situation at hand.
