Slash going to Axl's house was October 2005. By the nature of that conversation there was no reunion on at that point. If Weiland and Co are talking about a reunion months before that it's because they know Slash is aiming for one. It can't be much else. If Duff was part of those conversations Slash threw him under the bus when he talked to Beta.
One thing we know for certain is that Slash did something to piss off Axl. And it was right after that early 2006 interview where Axl said he still had love for Slash. Shortly after that the Axl camp revealed what had happened in October 2005 to try and use it against Slash. Apparently in 2009 Axl was still calling Slash a cancer best avoided. He went from "still love the guy" to that.
Now whatever Slash did, it doesn't seem probable that Axl had given any hint of reunion, because why would he mess that up?
If there were rumours in the industry about an impending reunion and people start to expect it, giving him offers, and Axl is really trying to relaunch his new band, you can imagine why he is royally pissed at Slash for starting those rumors. Then the best of album falls apart because there is no way for them to agree on anything anymore.
That seems more plausible than Axl, Slash and Duff agreeing on a reunion which somehow deteriorates into Slash throwing Duff under the bus and then manage to piss off Axl to the extent he publicly calls him a cancer 3 years later. He would have to fuck his girlfriend or something for that to happen, or sue him, something he would obviously not do if any reunion was even remotely possible.

What exactly are we basing the idea that Axl was open to a reunion in 2006 on?
If Axl wanted an apology he got it when Slash came to his house. There's no other way to interpret a man begging through the housekeeper. In his press release relating to the incident, he said he hoped Slash would live up to his words but that this proved to not be the case.
I think it is obvious Slash came to his house looking to come back in the band. Axl saw it as him just apologizing and was moving ahead with his own band. When Slash realized it had not worked, he returned back to his previous role as an "enemy", which apparently pissed Axl off to no end, feeling betrayed for a second time.
I don't see a reunion happening here. I see Slash and probably a few others angling for a reunion. If they had played it down instead, after the apology, it is possible a reunion could have happened in 07/08 when Axl's second comeback had obviously failed and Robin quit the band.

Slash would have been on top form too. Not impressed by his playing these days.

The connection to Checkmate and Jackie Chan needs to be explained. That can't be a mere coincidence.

Far as I can see, from a judicial standpoint, when Trump as President took home the documents to an unsecured location he in effect declassified them. Apparently they were headed for the National Archives so it doesn't sound like it could have been all that compromising, but what do I know.
For him to be charged with this smacks of lawlessness. It's like they've decided to treat him like just an ordinary citizen and everybody goes along with it.
Clinton afaik did give classified nuclear secret to China in the 90s. Goes to show it's all about who you know and what you can do for them.

Yes probably not. These days it's hard to know what is real or true in the news picture.

Doesn't matter if it is electric. All modern cars are run by computer chips. My mothers car wouldn't even start when there was a battery malfunction (engine is combustible) because the computer put the car into emergency mode. To fix it you had to go to the specialized Volvo dealership so they could hook it up with the right software.
If there's a computer it can be hacked, especially cars these days that are connected to the cloud.
There was a similar crash last week or something that also did not make sense. The black woman entering an intersection at 150mph (the max speed of her Mercedes). When did you ever hear about somebody doing that on purpose? Not even suicides go out like that. She was also waving her hands out the window, perhaps to try and get somebody's attention? Idk, whole thing was very weird.
With Anne Heche we have footage where she is obviously alive with no apparent burn marks while previously the authorities had said she never regained consciousness after the crash. Suspicious stuff and makes you think something else could be involved, like for example rigging her car to kill her, only it failed.
But again, why kill Anne Heche. I hear people saying she had dirt on someone or she was going to expose something. Eh, so what? They can just call her crazy and everybody will look the other way.
Ambulance footage is wack though. No reasonable explanation for that.

I think it was 2002 before the tour when Axl posted a big statement which was all basically about Slash and how he was a cancer.
While in 2006 he said "he had love for him and wish him the best", before the visiting his house thing turned it sour again.
It seems it was meeting the world in 2001 and 2002 that turned up his hatred for Slash. He realized how much him leaving had damaged his own brand. In a sense it was the first time Axl personally felt the damage and it pissed him off. Tour wasn't selling, media was hostile and the record company wanted a reunion.

Did you guys see the footage of her unzipping her body bag and trying to climb out of it?

Modern cars can be hijacked electronically and set to max speed and there is nothing you can do to stop it.
But I don't know why they would want to kill Anne Heche.

I don't think my generation knows who she was. Grease, but that's it.
You listen to Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Floyd and think you know the 70s, but you really don't. When I see that performance of Magic it reminds me of a time that was barely alive when I was a kid but it is familiar. Society was more like that than Jimmy Page. Very colorful, innocent and weird.
It's terrible what we have become. The deaths of these old stars mark a kind of boundary saying that time is truly over now. One example I always like is when my father and his friends used to smuggle booze when they were flying by simply handing their bags to somebody over a small fence at the airport. Now that was freedom.
These days they'd charge you as a terrorist for doing anything "rogue" at the airport. Everybody wound up tight, lawsuits flying, charges, regulations, lawyers, bureaucrats, political correctness, war, famine, recession, depression. It's all just one big hassle. Somebody really ought to pay for that, but I know they won't.
So thank you Olivia for at least reminding me of better times as we slowly descend into hell.
