The Numbers Station: some B movie type with John Cusack. Watchable but nothing else. Cusack's one of those actors that I didn't realize how much I actually liked. There's a littany of films like High Fidelity, Grosse Point Blank, Being John Malkovich, that I really like.
Same with Nicholas Cage, I finally watched 8MM a while back. And it's a really solid/great film. Joquain Phoenix was also great in that as Cage's guide into LA underground porn scene. Cage gets shit on because he now does all types of films for money. He's a great actor...you just have to sift through the amount of crap he's done.

That's been the only thing consistent. His inability to release music over the past 25 years or so. Can't blame ANYONE but him. Old fart artists manage to release more than him, even some that died or whatever.
The guy just doesn't want to release music. It's on him. And if he doesn't it's his choice. I'm just not under the illusion that he's working hard or whatever they say in interviews.

I don't know if it's Britpop, but I've been listening to the Cranberries and they're kind of catchy. Helps that the lead singer has a unique voice. I find Garbage also very catchy. A while back I listened to Portishead' debut album a lot. Perfect for a rainy day type.

I'm going to disagree here with James a little. Depending on where you live, this is still a big deal. Florida just had 1,300 new cases and I think Wisconsin had an uptick in cases the other day.

If she had done more of that type of thing in 2016 .....
And if she had a competent campaign.
She's just doesn't have very good political instincts. Funny part of this is that Bill was telling her to you have to go campaign in the rust belt and she goes and dumps money in Texas (a lost cause). That plus she doesn't really inspire people (to vote). On a basic level anyway. Her "ceiling" was probably as a Senator or Cabinet member and there's no shame in that.
#746 Re: The Sunset Strip » Disney+ » 337 weeks ago
Not a fan of Disney films...haven't watched any in decades.... I wouldn't subscribe to Disney under normal circumstances in a million years.
However...it's not normal anymore. They're buying up studios left and right and in the near future, a subscription to Disney will pretty much be a requirement.
Right now I just have Netflix but their quality is dropping fast.
Netflix is only good for tv shows and the occasional interesting movie. Their movie catalog choices is pretty uninspiring. I'm better off torrenting.
From what my sister says, you can use Disney + with 7 devices, Netflix is maybe 2 or 3.

Biden is probably their best shot but he’s a little dodgy and has ties to all the same Clinton Obama stuff that Trump rolled over them last time.
Maybe Gabbard could win but they won’t give her a chance.
Can’t see Biden winning the rust belt.
Impeach Trump but then what about the 60 mil people who voted for him. Not sure there’s a way back to the old war economy thing.
Gabbard is not even a real Democrat. She runs off to Fox Nees first chance she gets. And she has a bunch of dodgy shlt of her own. There’s a reason she polling in the single digits
#748 Re: Guns N' Roses » Just an fyi on the results of the Best of Rough Mixes Disc 1 » 341 weeks ago
The Blues on that disc is the best version of the track and one of the best tracks ever recorded by this band. In an alternative universe were the saga wasn't botched, that version of the track would be remembered and played on stations just like Sweet Child O'Mine as a classic.
Those of you that chose Atlas Shrugged over it were 100% wrong.
I don't really disagree with you but I think Atlas is a bit more interesting musically.

I've never seen a band or management so antagonistic toward their fans like Team Brazil and GNR. Do they realize that some of these fans they've pissed off go to multiple shows plus buy (overpriced) merchandise there?

Absolutely.
Listening to Perhaps right now and....it needs work... especially that chorus. It's like he had to squeeze it in there too tightly.
It does have major potential. Interesting if it really was dropped down to the B list.
I'm wondering if it got a title change later on and it's one of the songs that was in play for Chinese and PRL
I mean no offense to the band but they were in no position to be tossing tracks like this into the scrap heap while songs like Silkworms and Scraped stayed in contention.
It (Perhaps) is like 2/3 or 1/2 a good song. I think it needs another verse or more guitar work or something to make it truly great.
Shacklers is pretty much a lower tier song that somehow made it over Atlas and Perhaps.
