Re: NFL 2025
Anyone here watching?
Thanks to the parity era of the league, we got another wacky season unfolding...
Out of nowhere, the fucking COLTS are the top team in the league.
We're witnessing the collapse of the Ravens....and the Texans are headed in the same direction.
The Redskins....my preseason pick for the Superbowl....aren't showing the promise of last season.
The Jags and Patriots are trying to be what the Broncos were last year.
The Bills....while having a good record currently, are not looking as sharp as last season. Their Superbowl window is in the process of closing.
We may be witnessing a rebirth of the Giants. Next year they'll be doing what the Colts are doing now.
Aaron Rodgers looking for redemption in Pittsburgh...and may find it.
A QB controversy may be on tap in Frisco.
The Rams are quietly moving up the totem pole.
The Bears may actually be a playoff team this year. Shocking.
Jets looking like one of the worst teams in history. Just embarrassing. Junior college teams could beat them.
The Chiefs appear to be mimicking the 94 Cowboys...start the season looking like dog shit and then go on a run.
The Chargers.... showing so much potential last season and started the season off with a bang...are in a similar rut as the Redskins.
Some of the uniforms/helmets used this season are amazing....Bills and Dolphins top the list.
They've got to get rid of that stupid kickoff rule.
The refs are shitty. When watching old games, it makes me wish for those refs.
Re: NFL 2025
Probably not the reply you want.
Was there ever a time when American sports were not a cartel? Parity in sport sucks. Seeing the same thing over in Europe with all the money flowing in. Everything sanitized, everybody allowed to compete. Keep the money flowing. Sport is fun when it is brutal. It's supposed to be a substitute for war, not this nerdy shit. Players are worse too. Bunch of dandies.

This is a bad year in terms of quality play in the NFL. There is a higher level of “garbage” teams than usual this year . As someone who roots for one of these bottom feeders, it’s hard to watch.
Add in injuries wrecking teams (49ers, Chargers, Bills, Lions for example) and there is just a lot of parity and not in a good way.
Mentioned the Broncos, they have been an awful Titans team , a bad NYG team , a struggling (for them )PHI team. I forget who the other wins were against.
Hate to type it but the AFC will probably be KC. Pit has def issues. Bal needs Jackson back asap. CIN has to basically hang on until Burrows returns. BUF is fine on offense but they need def reinforcements. NE might be a legit contender next year (aside from Buf win, they have beaten cupcakes).
The NFC is a lot more interesting to me: DET, TB, Rams, GB are sort of teams that I can see as legit. I would also pick SF but I hate injuries to the qb so that one is a tbd.
Honestly, if you were talking about roster , coaching and pieces , I’d stick the Rams up there. BUT their K situation is shaky and nothing torpedoes a postseason run quicker than that . And that drags them a bit down.

I’m a pats fan and watching Drake Maye throw the ball is eye popping. He alone is the reason they are having success (also they have a dogshit schedule).

Yea, I couldn't agree more. And with all this Mafia shit coming out...it may be more of a cartel than I ever thought.
In the NFL alone, I feel like the players are becoming more feminine. Everything the NFL does is catering to people who don't really care about football. In the interest of 'protecting' players, they've dropped practice requirements. People are not allowed to hit each other. Tackles are supposed to be gentle almost like a hug.
College players are coming into the NFL already millionaires. Caleb Williams is a weird dude if you ask me (and I'm a bears fan). I know the PC thing to say is that it doesn't matter how the person presents or identifies as long as they perform. Well what happens when the person doesn't perform? I know it's petty, but it does mildly annoy me all the weird shit that he does.
The real point though? The NFL is bulldozing everyone and everything in the business world. The game is becoming unrecognizable to me. Horrible refs, stupid rule changes and legislating violence out of the game make this all-glorified flag football.

Maye has been fantastic the last 4 weeks. He was good the first few weeks but too many turnovers. He’s played mistake free since then. Needs to stay out of harm’s way though when scrambling out of the pocket.
They have played a really easy schedule. Thing is though, it doesn’t really get much tougher the rest of the way. They only have 3 games remaining against teams that currently have a winning record (Falcons, Bucs, Bills). They do face the Ravens, Bengals, and Giants who I guess aren’t pushovers but they could go 3-3 or better in those 6 games. It’s all about health and taking care of the football though. They need to tighten up their pass defense too. They’ve been making bad QBs look better than they are for stretches this year.
