Maybe by "AFD on steroids" he meant that the songs have manboobs and a shrunken peepee? 16

that Zakk Wylde quote was from when Slash and Duff were still in the band

most of this material was presumably written after they left (weren't Huge and Dizzy tasked with coming up with alot of  tracks for a certain period?)

its no surpise to me and I always expected that CD would be ballad-heavy - Axl has always gravitated more towards ballads and now he is solely in the drivers seat it's logical to expect this trend would be played to a larger degree with no Slash etc... to bring the sleazy rockers....

I was just hoping for ballads of the quality of Estranged - and not Don't Cry (if you know what I mean)

From the lyrics I have The General sounds like it will be a heavy: rock: rocker. Not even close to ballad. posting lyrics now. Look for The General & Checkmate lyrics.

Rose Petalled Garden is apparently from the Zakk/GnR sessions

and Axl admitted that Fall to Pieces was in its infant staged during the mid ninety's before Slash left GnR

Fall To Pieces' lyrics are so fuckin' gay. It's like lyrics a 15 year old high schooler would write to his first crush.
