Smoking Guns... Man, I will never be able to take your opinion serious again.

Yeah, Guns: Navarro is a phenomonal player, and a super-nice guy. Do you own a Jane's Addiction album? Dave's a really creative player as well as being a "traditional" lead guitarist with chops.

The U.S. is a mess. After years of buildup, everyone has suddenly noticed the economy is in the toilet. Panic is teh malls, so to speak. That's a factor as well. Wal-Mart would have sold twice as many copies as Best Buy, no doubt. But I don't think music in general, as reflected in Kanye's sales (and other artists. Everything in general is way down), is going to be important to people concerned with straight up survival.

A million records isn't anything to sneeze at. AC/DC were icons before GNR ever saw the light of day. And they've had their comparitively lean times as well.

I am a hard core Axlite and only bought one copy....the multiple copy argument doesn't hold water when taken in totality. All bands have their hardcore fanbase who will buy multiple copies.

and ps, I was in Walmart yesterday and Black Ice was being sold with three different album covers but the same record!

There's a version with a red logo, a yellow, a blue logo,

...and a deluxe version with a white & blue logo (like "ice") that comes with photos & lyrics.

How does a fan site "sell out"?

By censoring everyone's opinions because they think the band won't like it.

Go to a music gear forum. Then tell me how bad CD.com, mygnr & HTGTH are.

Is this supposed to be Rock N Roll Train??

Maybe they meant "Big Jack", which was one of the followup singles.
