I'm really surprised how poorly S.O.D. did.  Funny how things change in a couple of years.

I hear what you are saying about Bucket, he is a bit strange but MAN CAN HE ADD to a song.  T.W.A.T. would suffer greatly without his superhuman playing.

I always hoped for the music played at Rosario Dawson's BD party to surface.  Anyone recall the setlist?  I know it was all acoustic but can't recall the selections.

People look for easy escapism in tough times. Movies provide that. That's why I think 2009 has been a banner year so far. CD sales were hurt by the collapse of the music industry, an exclusivity deal that hampered its availabilty and alienated a large chunk of its potential fanbase, and the lack of any promotion on the parts of either the band, the label, or the store holding the exclusive.

Well said and I agree 100%!  Also Friday the 13th '09 had TONS of press.  It was all over the place and it doesn't hurt any that it actually came out on FRIDAY THE 13th.  That may sound minor but it DID help in my opinion.  That's the problem with RZ's Halloween, yes it did very well but I can assure you had it been released in October rather than July (or August, I don't recall) it would have did MUCH better.

Tempted Russ...but I didn't look!  I'm going tonight, hope it doesn't suck ass.

Captain Kirk!  I knew I'd seen that at some point, can't remember much about it however.  Glad you found your answer Mike, now I'll have to look that one up and watch it again.  IF I ever saw it in the first place, it seems familiar but my memory sucks.

That's an old link, go here and you will find both the piano and acoustic demo of November Rain with links working properly: http://www.gnrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?id=1195

I don't care if other fans like it or not. I don't care if the media likes it. I don't care if my mother likes it. I listen to music for music and the feeling I get out of it and could give a fuck all what anyone thinks about it. I enjoy most of the album except for a song or two.

I don't think it sounds like a band trying to sound like GNR because the old GNR would not have made music like this.

Damn straight.

Voted for Better, I still find it enjoyable.

TWAT is probably my second favorite song (Bucket REALLY makes this more than it is to me) but I have NEVER liked the chorus.  "It was the wrong time for you, it was the wrong time for me..."  The music during this part seems SO out of place and unfinished.  If it were not for this then TWAT would have been my favorite but this part still to this day annoys me everytime I hear it.

Hmm, not sure right now.  Definitel not Spellbinder.  That movie was about the hot chick who was a witch or something like that.

That movie actually kinda sounds familiar in some way.  I'm not sure if I've seen it or not but that scene in the abandoned church really seems familiar.  I may ask around on a couple boards I'm on that deal with horror.

I own nearly every version of Halloween known and I must say NOTHING compares to the blu ray version.

Cundey's 99 remaster is definitely my second favorite however and I do respect the argument of why many prefer it.

The Blu is closer to what people saw in theaters than what is on the DVD's, even if the color is slightly different. Instead of a blurry dark blob on a porch ledge, you can actually see a lot of detail and color in the jack-o-lantern in the background at one point, just as an example.

Well said and I totally agree.
