Those links don’t open for me in Australia. Any chance you could take some screen shots so we can see the tracklists?

Anyway, for all you negative cunts here, I pretty much listened to the live YCBM on repeat the whole drive to work, and it’s just awesome. The intro is a train wreck but they pull it together and it’s just killer!

Plus, I can hear Izzy! Even with him playing what seems like the wrong key at the start, his rhythms alongside Slash is great to hear in a proper live mix.

Slash fucks up the solo, it’s gloriously sloppy but great, in the way that UYI era Slash had just an amazing feel and choice of notes.

And then, on top of that, Axl messes up the bridge section lyrics. But he sings it with so much venom and passion, it doesn’t matter!

You guys can complain all you like.

UYI era is MY era, and I LOVE THIS SHIT.

GIVE ME MORE!!!

Yesterday I called them all cunts for not acknowledging the UYI anniversary or updating on the status of the box set, and today a live version YCBM pops up from said UYI release…

Maybe I should do the same thing in a new album discussion thread, to get that a move along too! big_smile

Me too man. Me too.

I pretty much lived in that tshirt from 1993 until 1995 or 1996 until it fell apart from too many washes.

If they want my money, they should reprint stuff like that!

Shitty merch, James? How can you say that when they just released the Appetite 35th Anniversary Collection?

That AFD stuff doesn’t look too bad surprisingly. I’d actually wear some of that.

The UYI anniversary merch they had out last year, was fucking horrendous. Looked like it was thrown together with Microsoft Paint

The thing is, (and like always), they could always do the smallest effort, and still get good stuff out there for fans. For a proper UYI celebration, they could’ve reprinted the cool t-shirts from that era like Coma, Bad Apples etc and I would’ve lapped that shit up.

Instead we get fucking Fernandon’t and TB designing atrocious fugly merch

#236 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR or NIN? » 159 weeks ago

YCBM I’d say is what really grabbed me, and made me go in search of GN’R albums to buy. And UYI 2 on cassette ended up being my first GN’R item I purchased.

Soon after, I dug back through the rest of their small catalogue, and became the mega fan, that’s kept me here some 30+ years later.

It’s weird to think when I was discovering GN’R back then, that 30 years later, we’d only get one more album of original material under the GN’R name.

Back on topic, in 1991, Trent’s NIN genius hadn’t quite caught on with the rest of the world. That came later with 1994’s The Downward Spiral. So who knows if exposure for NIN on a big budget film like T2, may have actually helped get them popularity sooner?

They did a fantastic job on the AFD box set, imo

I think you’re the first GN’R fan I’ve heard say that.

Most have said it’s overpriced junk, and none of the stuff that fans really wanted - being actual live video and audio footage from that era.

Most of those demos had been in circulation for years, though it was pretty cool to get them officially released.

But if anything, I hope the UYI box is nothing like the AFD box, and more like Metallica’s Black album box, and filled with great audio and video content.

That kinda finished demo that exists is pretty cool instrumentally, and as with all of Slash’s solos from that era, it kicks ass.

If it does come out on the UYI Box, I hope they don’t really tamper with it too much, and if they do put it out in good quality, I hope to hell that Caram stays the fuck away from doing any remixing or production of it as well.

Can you guys please post in English. These Spanish posts are getting annoying.

I watched Payback (1999, Mel Gibson) last week on Netflix. I forgot how great this movie was.

Nice gritty action film with a good amount of comedy, as Mel gets payback on a bunch of bad guys, from who he wants to get back his 70k cut they ripped off from him.
