I love Scraped!

I'm not sure I can understand where you are comming from Bono.
I don't mean that insultingly or anything, just I can't relate. And what i'm about to say I don't want to sound like one of jarmos "like the band or fuck off you're not a fan" rants as it's not like that....
But what i wonder is how you can be interested enough to come on here and post all the time, and follow this shit for 15 years, and then hold the actual album we've waited for it your hands then walk away?
Is it because you like the old GNR and don't like the new era? Did the leaks spoil the wait for you?
I can undertsand that some fans are extatic and love the new music, I can understand that some people hate the new line up and hate the music. I guess what i don't understand is that you just seem apethetic either way - and If you don't care either way - why do you come here and post? (Although I'm very glad you do as I always enjoy your posts.). I'm just trying to understand how you are feeling dude. To be honest I feel almost sorry reading that post - it seems kinda a sad story to me - like you waited for something for 15 years then don't care when it finally happens. Anyway...hope this hasn't offended you!

This I love - I think it could well be the best thing Axl has ever written.
I'll also give a shoutout to Madagascar, some of the newer songs are trumping it to me now only because I heard Maddy 8 years ago or something so it's less fresh. But it's still incrediable.
I'd love to list almost every song on this album. There's so many masterpieces, so many moments.
I know we can all find politics. Things we'd like to change. People we'd like to add in a song. Something from a demo we liked more. Something we think is overdone. But at the end of the day this is an album full of amazing works of art - and how many of us could write songs anywhere near this powerful. For me that's what it comes down to. Right or wrong on the politics...axl can deliver this kind of album...Anyway...don't want to derail the thread...love a ton of them..but "This I love" was the one that got me into tears on the first listen!

I'm confused Buz...are you actually saying you don't think Axl is a good vocal talent? I won't deny that he's had off days live and that perhaps he takes a while to craft what he does and a lot of takes or whatever...but when he is on...damn...do you really think he isn't a good singer?
#8375 Re: Guns N' Roses » so, does CD stand up as a Guns N' Roses album? » 911 weeks ago
I love the album...but I do wish bucket had managed to play an epic outro somewhere...I know we all dig twat...but it's lightweight soloing compared to what bucket has done in songs like soothsayer and notthingham lace. I just would have liked there to be a song that would show his true abilities.
#8376 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses - studio only band? » 911 weeks ago
I don't think it would be better than CD as such...
But I do think if you got the 14 best guitar parts slash has played since GNR they would be at a similar level to CD.
Bottom line: Slash will always make great solos (look at that Alice Song he did recently), and Axl will always make awesome vocal parts (Look at "This I love"). They both rule.

They had one... his name was Izzy fuckin' Stradlin. But popularity & money were more important than 'good'.
No izzy didn't want to do a full band thing. He isn't into comitment like that.

Axl just released an album that took 14 years to make and you're already talking about the next album!? Now that's what I call being positive.
Soon is the word
Nah...I dunno i'm waiting for a public announcment of some kind. If this sells well then we may get the follow up albums he talked about in 2002 or whenever it was. Or alternatively he may retire. Perhaps that's why we hear nothing at the mo...maybe now this is released he is calling it a day from public life?
I'm not holding my breath for anything else, if it comes then fucking excellent, if it doesn't well...this has been a great journey and a great band and I'm happy to have the songs Axl has given the world.
I was just meaning to say...the man survived the loss of Slash...and Bucket....if Axl has more songs to write then he will do so it seems.

I'd been assuming that glitch was one of those intentional things like purposely dropping a beat in a song for a tic...
