Hey, Oh my God, if it was recorded properly with bucket, would have been an awesome song. i just cant imagine what it would sound like with current vocals

Oh i didn't mean they're bad songs. I mean the tune of both those lyrics is similar...but i think it's just that they scan a similar way to the ears.

Yeah, I agree. The first time I heard those lines in this song, that you just mentioned, I thought about "Oh My God". It sounds very similar to the ears.

Hmm, Scraped sounds a bit like "Oh My God". Parts of it.

alright, gotta say it, I hate the fact that Shacklers is on the album....can't stand the song officially now. The ONLY song on the album I don't like and it kills me. The perfect setup for this record was Chinese going in to Better. I have mutliple minor quibbles, but in the end I really like the record and the flow of the tracklist. This will bug me forever like Anything Goes and Think About You bug me....sorry to any Shacklers fans and Downliner!

Well, as Axl once said, there are something for eveyone on it. True!
Personally I really like Shacklers, it's one of the better tracks. But I could definitely live without "If The World". At least the album version is greater than that leaked version of it. By the way, what happend to "Checkmate"?, I really hoped that that song would have been on CD. The few seconds I heard of it sounded really cool.

#5 Re: Guns N' Roses » BETTER: second single CONFIRMED » 805 weeks ago

This is absolutely the greatest song on CD. I've heard the final version of it three times now. I'm still not really sure if I actually liked the demo/leaked version better. Could be just because I've heard those leaked versions sooo damn many times by now. It's kind of weird, but after a while it's like the demo is like the "real" version of the song, and when we finally will get the final product, it might sound like someone trying to cover em. Anyway if I don't like the final mix of the songs, I can always listen to those old leaks smile

It says video coming soon and it got me thinking, how exactly are they going to shoot a video - who will be in it.

If they can't get Finck to play ball and assuming they haven't been able to talk Buckethead into coming back, then who will be seen playing what parts.  Would they just use Ron and Fortus?  Also would Frank be the drummer.  I know these are questins we all want answers to, but it must be problematic for when they sit down and try and shoot a video.

On a seperate note have there been any UK fans from this board that have submitted an air guitar video to try and win the listening party?

Anyone heard that promo clip #10 on youtube?
I think it sounds like that song we know as "Checkmate". At least the end of it.

#9 Re: Guns N' Roses » First single prediction » 809 weeks ago

Better. The greatest song of those I've heard.

#10 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Official Tracklist » 810 weeks ago

If the world is the weakest song written for CD. Ok, it might get better after you've heard it a couple of times. I've heard it alot of times now, and it still doesn't impress me much. That's a song they could have compensated with something else. If there are about 70 songs written during this CD era, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of other greater songs. But ok, we all like different kind of tunes... and I guess Chinese Democracy has got a little bit of everything for everyone. In the end the album kicks ass anyway.
