So glad to see the Colts playing like the Colts again. They shutdown Baltimore's run game and forced 5 turnovers. Manning suddenly remembered he had Marvin Harrison to throw to. They still have a rough road if they want to make the playoffs.

I was also pleased to see Arizona win. I think they are definitely going to win their division. Can't say I feel the same way about their first playoff game though.

Also agreed. I thought the song would be ripped to shreds. Even I didn't care for it much when I heard it. Kind of reinforces Axl's comment that there will be something for everyone. You could hate Shackler's with a passion but totally dig "If the World".

Nice to see such a positive review 8/10.

Very misleading title. Everyone is somewhat excited but, until it's confirmed by the band, management, label etc, change the title.

That's cool that it is at the end of the movie rather than the credits. IGN has an article about it:

Sorry if it's already posted in the other thread.

This just popped up on Billboard.com:

GNR's 'Chinese Democracy' Gets Release Date
October 09, 2008 , 11:40 AM ET
Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.

More than a decade after its conception, Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" will finally see the light of day before year's end, sources close to the situation confirms to Billboard. As first reported here, the set will be a Best Buy exclusive and will be available Sunday, Nov. 23, rather than the usual Tuesday.

Beyond enticing pre-Thanksgiving shoppers, the move is tied to the structure of Best Buy's sales week, which runs from Sunday to Saturday. As such, "Chinese Democracy" would not be eligible to chart on The Billboard 200 until the week of Dec. 1, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

In the run-up to release date, album track "Shackler's Revenge" will debut in the video game "Rock Band 2," while a portion of "If the World" is playing over the end credits in the new Leonardo DiCaprio/Russell Crowe film "Body of Lies."

In addition, GNR's seminal 1987 debut, "Appetite for Destruction," will be reissued on vinyl on Oct. 28 via Interscope.

The band's last new studio albums were the simultaneously released "Use Your Illusion I" and "II" in September 1991. A covers set, "The Spaghetti Incident?," followed in 1993, and featured some of the last GNR recordings from original guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan.

Maybe I'm reading a little to much into this but it says "the set will be a Best Buy exclusive." Does that mean something other than just an audio cd?

What's with all the sequels? The General to Estranged and now Prostitute to Nightrain. Who do these guys think they are? Metallica? 16

#367 Re: Guns N' Roses » There was a time live » 901 weeks ago

It's played live at one of the New York (i think that's the city). You might still be able to find it on youtube but they've been cracking down lately. But a live version of T.W.A.T. does exist.

After all of this time (and numerous plays) I still like the harder rockers like Rhiad and CD. I know I'm the minority but I also like I.R.S. The Bucket solo is awesome. Other than these, T.W.A.T. and Shackler, I give the others a listen a few times a month.

ITW has gotten a few extra listens since the "Body of Lies" thing. It's grown on me a little but, still not my cup of tea.

Yeah, strange strategy to not release two new songs as singles. They can get a buzz and media attention without having to compete on any Billboard/Itunes charts.

Yeah and the two songs sound like two different bands. It's becoming clear that this album is not going to be marketed like your average album. Guess they're trying to show how diverse GN'R can be. Axl and a certain former guitarist are capable of making some awesome, diverse tunes.:buckethead::mosh:
