W.A.R. what is he good for?  Absolutely nothing, sing it again!

I think it's still available here in Canada.  At least, CDs and stuff anyway.  They're at my local HMV.  I haven't seen any merch merch though.

#853 Re: The Garden » That Canadian Pig Farmer is found Guilty » 927 weeks ago

I love the topic of this thread... makes it sound like we only have one pig farmer here in the great white north.

Pickton is a sicko though.  This was one of the craziest murder stories in recent memory.  Certainly one of the biggest in Canadian history (I'd stick the Bernardo/Homolka case up there, not out of volume, but out of brutality).  Fucking sick though.  It is like straight out of a movie.  Ever watch Snatch?  Bricktop feeds people to pigs.

I don't understand why this is murder 2 though.  It should be murder 1.  The difference is intent.  murder 1 is preconceived.  I don't understand how him picking up prostitutes and bringing them to be killed doesn't satisfy preconceiving murder.  He knew what he was going to do... 26 times.  Of course, there's no difference, life in prison is life.  Only difference is chance of parole.  I'm surprised the judge didn't raise the bar here though and increase the sentence so that he has no chance of parole or so that he's serving 2 25 year sentences back to back.  I guess he's 58 years old, so there's minimal chance he's getting out of prison alive if he's serving at least 25 years.  He's eligible for parole in 10 years though, that's retarded.

Can't argue much with that set list James, but I still think there are a lot of songs that others would like to see that wouldn't make the cut.  As I said, fans have different favourites of Zeppelin, that's what makes them so great.  The fact that they didn't really have a defining song (Stairway is the exception) isn't because they didn't have good songs, it's because everyone likes something different.  Over the Hills and Far Away is my favourite, but others would argue.  They have way too many songs that people would consider "hits".  It would be like The Beatles reuniting and trying to nail down one set list (well, maybe to a lesser level).

The only one on your list that I wouldn't want them to do is Moby Dick, and that's just cause it's John Bonham's bread and butter.  It would be nice to have a tribute and have footage of Bonzo playing the solo from an old concert or something (much like they did with the harmony parts in Bohemian Rhapsody at the Freddie Mercury tribute show), but there's no way in hell I'd like to hear Jason try and play his dad's parts in that song.

Some great songs being played, but that is a pretty weak setlist overall. Granted, they got a few of their "big guns" in, but way too much strong material missing. If they tour, they are gonna need to revamp that list a bit or they're gonna be hearing chants for different songs.

Too much Zeppelin IV re-hash? 16

I thought it was a good one.  No Going to California, Immigrant Song, or Over the Hills and Far Away?  I guess Zeppelin has too many songs that appeal to different people to really satisfy everyone with a full set though.  Everyone has a different favourite Zeppelin song.

Is Fortus a usual inclusion on that list?

Some clowns thought it would be funny to create a forum that was almost an exact copy of this one, with usernames similar to some of our staff.  It got out of hand when the admin sent a mass-email out to the old ROV email list.  The problem was that all the old ROV members' email addresses were exposed to each recipient.  Anyway, the site no longer exists.  Looks like the problem went away on its own.

The Bertuzzi punch didn't break Moore's neck.  It's clearly when he was piled on after the play.  You can even see when the guys fall on him how his neck snaps.  Pretty gruesome.  I agree, Heatley should've been prosecuted and put in jail for what he did.  His case is worse than Mike Danton's in that what he did actually ended another's life.  It's like the whole Rob Ramage mess.  Just because he was an up and coming star doesn't make it right for him to be able to drink and drive and end a life.

I still think Recchi has some good hockey left in him.  If not, he's a veteran leader.  The Thrashers could use someone like that.

What a turn around since the last time I posted in here.  The Habs are getting killed night in and night out.  Might be time to consider a coaching change.  Carbo was a great player, but as a coach he's been questionable.

I'm actually surprised his sentence is that long. He obviously didn't get a liberal judge.

I still think his career is over. No team is going to want him when he gets out of prison. His stock had dropped to almost nothing even before this shit happened. Falcons were morons for signing him to that massive contract.

He's going to get pulverized in prison too.  People in there have no remorse for people who harm children, women, or animals.  And he's a celebrity.  I don't think his sentence is light.

And what's up with the Dolphins?  They're going down as the worst team in history this year.  I think that the Leafs would do better on the field than these guys.

What's the good of getting secret sauce if there's a condom?  13  16

So many jokes can be made here.  I mean, did the buns have seeds on them?  Was the burger 100% all beef?  Nice and juicy, thick and tasty?  Now THAT's a Whopper.
