well i clicked on the thread cause i was pretty sure it was about this, just was curious to see what was being thrown around. i can understand where you guys are coming from but i personally am not there.

one thing i took a lil' issue with - if you like a band, who the hell cares if it is *cool* or not to wear their merch? lol... i still wear a julian lennon t-shirt once in awhile. and first liked him as a grade schooler. whoever -whatever - bands i like, i am unashamed to sport the stuff.

if someone is gonna make a (real) judgment call based on your fan status, that person is pretty damn shallow.

anyways. offa my soapbox fer now!

dude. i have had ADHD all my life and not once been in a bar fight. that's stereotyping, damn it.

Don't hate me for not staying on topic of mostly GNR related questions but I'm way curious to know if he handles his own MySpace.

Reason being is that my band got a friend request from his profile this summer and I just about crapped myself - that's potentially just very, very cool...

HOW IN THE HELL CAN THIS ALBUM BE #12 ON ROLLING STONE'S TOP 50 FOR THE YEAR? MOTLEY'S SAINTS WASN'T EVEN ON THE TOP 50 AND IT SMOKES THIS ALBUM LIKE AXL'S EGO SMOKES. THIS ALBUM TOOK A CENTURY TO MAKE, AND AXL GOES AWOL AS USUAL, AND YET MOTLEY'S ALBUM IS THE BEST THEY EVER DONE AND IT DOESN'T EVEN GET ON THE TOP 50. SOMEONE IN THE GNR CAMP IS GIVING SOME SERIOUS SMOKING HEAD TO THE PEOPLE AT ROLLING STONE.

you are outta your mind!!!!! sola sucked! and i'm a big crue fan! and i even took my daughter to cruefest and got called gay for doing it lol
guns n roses has always written better songs than motley crue. fact! 9

HA! tell everyone who called you gay! oh never mind let's not start the drama again wink JUST KIDDING everyone, i'm actually paxcow's stalker. and harasser. LOL. if you only knew...:butt:

but seriously i totally agree. 5

Crue has some VERY good songs but nowhere near the level of Guns' output in the quality department.

true that, i could say about a lot of bands. roll

and hey! hella kudos to RS for actually having the taste and balls to go there. almost makes me want to subscribe again!

imho, Chinese Democracy is the first disc i've gotten ahold of in a while where I am actively enjoying every track and nothing gets cued past... 20

it is completely kickass that he did this. i could SOOO (and probably will upon finding one any time soon 'cos i like to instigate a bit) ask all the haters out there "how many of YOUR favorite artists have taken such a chance?"

however, tragically...i totally missed it all. which is pretty pathetic considering i've been an uncompromising hardcore fan for over half of my 32 years...

but then again, my brain might have imploded from the sheer effort of trying to figure out which one of the numerous questions i'd want to ask, to actually throw out there.

not to mention trying to word my personal thanks and compliments to the man in a way that would communicate my genuine gratitude, love and respect to Axl for darn near everything he's recorded - past and present - seriously!!! - but yet not be in any way whatsoever: cringeworthy, maudlin, and/or obsessive.

anyways that's just my thoughts on this topic.

and i'm in a strange mood at the moment anyways. been headachey, nauseated, and spacey for darn near all day.

((sigh))
