Jesus Christ, that 2000s bracket is NOT impressive at all. I can't hardly believe not one foreign film made it in. That's sad. Fuck, Oldboy destroys half that list easily. So does Audition.

Finding Nemo?? Forgetting Sarah Marshall?? Old School?? Are you kidding me? Who's smoking crack here?

Those Batman and Kill Bill films really bog down that bracket as well, but I'm not shocked the Batman films made it in.

Tarantino has got some nutswingers here that's for sure. All his major movies but Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs made it in.

Cant complain too much about the 90s bracket. All those films are solid and I could see any of them making it to the final four. However, Schindler's List not getting in but Groundhog Day did qualify is a cosmic joke. I bet God is even laughing at that.

The 80s bracket is pretty weak to be honest. Some great films got in, but how in the fuck did The Princess Bride and Airplane get in? Way too many classics got left out. Stand By Me should have been a lock. Interesting that Elm Street is the lone representative of 80s slashers in this tourney.

I cant believe Wonka got in(again) and Texas Chainsaw Massacre is NOT in. That is insane. I don't understand the hate that movie gets here. Films like Deliverance and Marathon Man deserved a spot as well.

We're not all film critics here James.  We just vote for the movies we've seen and enjoyed.  I've never seen those two foreign films you mentioned so obviously I couldn't cast a vote for them.

Hey neemo, not sure if you have a system for actually ranking the films that made it or if it's just random.  If it is random, maybe use the official IMDB ratings to decide where the movies are rated 1-16 in each decade (ie. if IMDB ranks Clerks the lowest and Braveheart the highest that'd be the 1-16 matchup).

Have you ever seen Sarah Marshall or Finding Nemo, James? I think they're both excellent and stand up well against the other decades. I really don't see the 00s as being weak at all. Although I am a bit surprised at certain omissions in the decade, and that both Kill Bills and Old School made it.

I was going to do that too but there weren't any nominated.  I think Gladiator is pretty weak.  I'm a huge Murray fan but Groundhog Day doesn't really do it for me.  Too bad most of the better films from the 2000s are either foreign or smaller/not as publicized films.
